Geek Girl Meetup is a global network, for and by, women interested in all things tech, code, design, and startups. GGM’s ambition is to highlight female role models in the digital and tech industry, create networks to mentor each other, share ideas and, of course, to have fun.
In the UK GeekGirl Meetup arranges monthly breakfast events and a yearly conference thus creating a platform for all participants to share their knowledge and inspiring stories with other GeekGirls.
Geek Girl Meetup UK is organised by Cathy White, Mergime Raçi, Caylee Farndon-Taylor and Magdalena Krön (with Josefine Hedlund and Robyn Exton supporting remotely from the US). Follow @ggmUK to find out when we’re planning our next event in London.
2015 was an epic year for Geek Girl Meetup UK.
We hosted coding weekends, meet ups with brilliant speakers and we were featured in Elle Magazine.

How it all started…
GeekGirl Meetup was founded in Sweden by Heidi Harman and Andie Nordgren in 2008 and has since spread to Denmark, Mexico, Finland and Hong Kong. In 2012 the first UK meetup was arranged at Google Campus in London and it was a great success with more than 100 GeekGirls gathering to share knowledge and inspire each other.
